Michelle Young

Michelle started practicing meditation in 1988 and yoga in 2004. She originally studied yoga under Shanti Kelley and went on to study with Nischala Joy Devi, Richard Miller and Leslie Kaminoff at the Soul of Yoga in Encinitas, CA. Michelle is an E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance, and a C-IAYT Yoga Therapist specializing in eating recovery, cardiac and cancer rehabilitation. Michelle currently serves Seton Hospital as their Cardiac Yoga Therapist and develops and leads teacher training internationally.

Michelle’s vinyasa classes are empowering and focus on stability in the major joint systems while carefully providing students with a projection free environment for self-exploration. Michelle practices nonduality and believes that each experience is an opportunity to awaken to the subtle qualities of Self Realization.

Kiana Ochoa, My Vinyasa Practice

Kiana Ochoa

Kiana (she/her) is a E-RYT 500 and YACEP certified instructor. She specializes in Flow, Playful Power, Restorative, Yin, and Sound Healing classes infusing them with creativity, intentionality, and a deep commitment to holistic well-being. In her Flow classes, Kiana guides students through sequences designed to evoke introspection and inner exploration, blending movement with breath awareness. Her Power Flow classes offer a playful yet challenging environment where students can explore advanced asanas and transitions, pushing the boundaries of their practice while maintaining mindfulness and joy. Kiana’s Restorative offerings focus on slowing down and surrendering to stillness, inviting students to deeply relax and replenish their energy reserves. In her Yin classes, she encourages practitioners to explore their edge, release tension, and cultivate spaciousness within the body and mind. In her Sound Healing offerings, Kiana invites students on a soothing journey of vibrations and sound that facilitate deep relaxation and tension release.

Kiana finds joy in diverse creative pursuits, including DJing, visual arts, and immersing herself in nature. A lover of culture and community, she loves experiencing live music and great food.

Tara Cleven

Tara Cleven

Tara has been a yoga practitioner for over a decade. She found My Vinyasa Practice and went through both the 200 hour and 300 hour yoga teacher training programs. Tara is an avid practitioner who loves a good power yoga class. Tara teaches Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative and Power classes.

Ana Pilar Cruz

ANA PILAR CRUZ

Ana Pilar Cruz, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, RYT 200, has been teaching yoga in Austin, Texas since 2001 and has been training yoga teachers since 2006 at both 200 and 500 hour levels in the United States and abroad with Yoga Yoga, Global Yoga Shala, and Zingara Yoga. She has been studying with her teacher, Gary Kraftsow, the founder & head of the American Viniyoga Institute, for over 16 years. Under the guidance of Kraftsow, Ana Pilar completed the American Viniyoga Institute’s 500-hour advanced training in 2005. Her continuing education is immersed in a number of specialized areas, including Western & Yogic Anatomy, Injury Prevention, Stress-relief, Mantra chanting, and Tantric philosophy, as she studies with the likes of Leslie Kaminoff, Srivatsa Ramaswami, Donna Farhi, Rod Stryker, and Dr. Douglas Brooks. In 2017 Ana Pilar was grandfathered into the International Association of Yoga Therapist, receiving her C-IAYT designation in recognition of her specialized client work in adaptive structural therapeutics. As a senior teacher trainer she excels in teaching asana, pranayama, mantra, and yogic philosophy & literature.

Kaytee Hernandez

Kaytee Hernandez

Kaytee (she/her) is a E-RYT 500, RCYT, and YACEP, certified instructor and C-IAYT Yoga therapist who holds an M.S. in ​​Maharishi Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine. She teaches Flow and Stretch & Sound Healing. Kaytee’s flow classes are both a workout and a work-in. Students can expect an invigorating yet mindful movement practice, inspiring Yoga philosophy, and moving music. Her classes are tailored to the students in the room and are accessible to all experience levels. Kaytee’s Stretch & Sound Healing class starts with guided mindful breathing and dynamic movement to calm the mind before students settle into stillness in Yin shapes with sound healing.

Kaytee is a Texican from Brownsville, TX who has been teaching Yoga in Austin for 9 years. She’s an Aries Sun, Aries Moon, Scorpio Rising; Pitta Kapha Prakriti; 29/11 Life Path; Enneagram 4. Kaytee enjoys spending time in her garden with her husband and their long-haired dachshund, Finn.

Adrienne

Adam Horowitz

Adam (he/him) is a RYT 200 certified instructor teaching Flow, Power, and Slow Flow. Adam’s classes are crafted to guide students through mindful movements that safely build strength and stability through careful alignment. This allows students to find the expansive freedom found within. Practices are stimulating, energizing, and designed for a full body and mind connection. Students can expect an authentic, non-judgmental teaching style; his intention is to help students find their inner wisdom to create a more disciplined, healthy, spiritually connected, and fun life. Adam was born and raised in New York.

He’s an avid snowboarded, a zealous traveler, and has 2 kids who are his light. He works in tech full-time and teaching Yoga is one of the greatest joys of his life.

Adrienne

Adrienne Garman

Adrienne (she/her) is a RYT 200 certified instructor teaching Flow and Power Flow. She enjoys an energetic playlist and flows that turn on the heat within. She brings creativity and playful energy to class while adding balancing postures, and strength-building movements for progress and growth in the physical body. Her Power classes include more breath-to-movement sequences. Flow will incorporate longer moments to stretch and settle into calming breath while students explore their depth in a posture. All of her classes are beginner-friendly and welcoming with a big smile and clear descriptions. 

Adrienne is a Minnesota native and HBCU grad. She enjoys taking Yoga and workout classes all around Austin, but also spends her time traveling, reading, and laughing with friends.

Alaina Spencer

Alaina (she/her) is a RYT 500 certified instructor. Her Sunrise Flow is a full body class that focuses on getting students’ bodies ready for the day. Students can expect to stretch, stabilize, and move. Alaina offers many options in this class, making it accessible to all. ​​Alaina teaches Yoga to inspire everyone to feel more comfortable and at ease in their bodies. She enjoys fun playlists and encourages people to do what feels best for their bodies.

When she’s not teaching, Alaina enjoys ceramics, gardening, and reading.

Alyssa Clark

Alyssa Hudson-Clark

Alyssa (she/her) is a RYT 200 certified Yoga instructor teaching Flow and Power Flow classes. Alyssa’s Flow classes offer space for curiosity and playfulness while incorporating anatomy and Yoga philosophy. Her Power Flow classes involve more movement and mental focus, along with opportunities for balancing postures. She invites joy, reflection, and creativity in class for everyone. Alyssa enjoys the power that music can bring to a class, so expect carefully crafted playlists from nearly all genres of music, from soul to indie, classical to current. ​​Her classes incorporate props to cater to individuals of all ages and experience.

Alyssa loves reading, hiking, paddleboarding, and planning her next trip. Ask her about the time she ​​rappelled down the One Congress building in downtown Austin to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Lara Ramey

Angelina Alainas

Annick (she/her) is a E-RYT 200 and RYT 500 certified instructor teaching Flow, Slow Flow, and Sunrise Flow. Flow classes are a fun mix of balance, functional movement, and yogic postures to build strength and resilience. Slow Flow offers integrated movements to create space in the body, inviting the mind-body connection. Sunrise Flow offers invigorating postures to promote mental focus and a strong foundation to start the day. ​​Longevity, connection, humor and quality of life all inform her teaching styles.

 

Annick is a lover of nature, dancing, and travel, believing these to be life’s best medicines.

Annick Masseteau

Annick’s first experience with yoga was the happiest accident that has kept on giving.

She signed up for her first teacher training without having ever gone to a yoga class before, an act of pure kismet. The mind-body connection, physiology and anatomy, and the integration of the energetic body left a lasting impression on her.

Seventeen years later, her relationship to yoga continues to evolve and grow. Her impetus to teach is rooted in longevity of movement, adaptability, resilience, and learning to experience life through the sustainable lens of yoga. Annick has a strong belief that no matter how or why you practice, yoga works and is one of the greatest tools available to us in the modern world to help us individually and collectively.

She enjoys facilitating and continuing to learn through yogas many styles and philosophies, on and off the mat. Whatever format, Annick believes some key ingredients to an awesome class include humor, modifications, alignment cues, humility and empowering the individual practitioner to make the best choices for their practice

Brannin Lancaster

Brannin (he/him) is a TCYM, E-RYT 200, and RYT 500 certified instructor teaching Flow, Power, Restore & Sound, Yin, and Yin & Sound. Flow classes are set to upbeat music and include both breath-to-movement sequencing as well as holding poses for longer periods of time. ​​Power classes are higher intensity with music to match. Restore & sound classes offer a few seated or reclined postures where the physical body is fully supported in every pose. A variety of musical instruments lead practitioners into a state of profound relaxation. Yin classes include seated and reclined poses held for longer periods of time where students are encouraged to find the sweet spot where they feel challenged yet supported, both physically and psychologically. Yin & sound classes begin with the supported challenge of longer held seated and reclined poses and incorporate a variety of instruments used to lead students into a state of ease and tranquility. His goal as a teacher is to create an environment in which students can have a powerful experience, regardless of class style.

Before teaching Yoga full time, Brannin worked as a CPA for 17 years. In his spare time he loves to eat and read and is a regular at Barton Springs.

Brittany Riley

Brittany (she/they) is a RYT 500 certified instructor with training in Trauma-Informed, Accessible Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Trauma-Informed for Sexual Trauma. Brittany teaches ​​Flow, Restore & Sound, TLC Flow, and Yin. TLC Flow and Slow Flow classes are slower paced breath-to-movement classes that are functionally and anatomically-informed with a focus on accessibility. Their Restorative & Sound classes offer restorative style asana by rainbow candlelight with an array of sound healing instruments. Their ​​Yin Yoga classes are seasonally-appropriate practices that challenge the mind and body to stay in poses for 3-5 minutes at a time. These classes are thoughtfully sequenced to keep the practitioner in the zone, with minimal time for prop assembly between poses. Brittany leads classes with a trauma-informed approach and encourages students to laugh and be themselves.

Brittany is from the HTX and loves Third Coast Rap. In her day job they’re a Recreation and Aquatic Therapist. They love ​​gaming, painting watercolor, swimming and have memberships to at least 3 museums.

Candice Carbonell

Candice (she/her) is a E-RYT 200 certified instructor and has her 200 hour Meditation certification. Her Flow classes are a slow burn with longer warm-ups to prepare the body to build heat and end with a restful Savasana. Candice creates curated playlists to match the pace & vibe of what she is offering. Her classes are accessible to students of all experience levels; she loves checking in with students before class to ensure that the practice is meeting them where they are and supporting them in what they need that day.

Candice is a mama to one kiddo and two doggos. She also supports MVP with our Wellness App and online teacher trainings. Candice loves rock climbing, pickleball, and ceramics.

Casey Ginger My Vinyasa Practice Teacher

Casey Geiger

Casey (she/her) is a RYT 200 certified instructor teaching Flow, Slow Flow, and Sunrise Flow. In her Flow classes she offers many options to increase or decrease intensity while still prioritizing accessibility and enjoyment for all body shapes and sizes. In Slow Flow, students move a little slower with more rounds of elongated breath in each pose for the purpose of enhancing the mindfulness practice. Sunrise Flow starts slowly to warm students’ bodies with the rising sun before transitioning to more energized movement with options to increase or decrease intensity. Casey’s goal in all of her classes is for everyone to feel welcomed, included, and empowered.

Casey is from the Carolinas, works full-time in digital marketing, and is passionate about mental health, good tacos, and the fundamental goodness of humanity. She loves reading, sports, and belly laughs.

Christina Cohee

Christina (she/her) is a E-RYT 200, RYT 500, and YACEP certified instructor and a C-IAYT and Y12SR Yoga therapist. She teaches Slow Flow and Restore & Sound. Her Slow Flow classes incorporate breath-centered movement and allow students to find an expression of each posture that works best with their body. Restorative classes invite “contact with quiet,” connecting with ease and a sense of safety via both internal and external support. Her classes are rooted in ease, exploring trauma-informed somatic tools, embodiment, and breath work, all while keeping a sense of humor.

Christina is a UT grad and mom of four who ​​fully recovered from chronic illness through Yoga therapy. She enjoys singing, traveling, and reading.

Cody Florindi My Vinyasa Practice Teacher

Cody Florindi

Cody (he/him) is a RYT 200 certified instructor. He specializes in Flow, Slow Flow, Power Flow, and Deep Stretch. His Deep Stretch class is an active stretching class that incorporates props and floor-based movements to increase flexibility.. In Slow Flow, he leads students through a challenging yet relaxing vinyasa class emphasizing longer posture holds. His Flow classes are upbeat, set to curated playlists, challenging for the body and the mind, and accessible to all students of any experience level. In Power Flow, you can expect the same as in Flow, while moving a bit faster, taking more vinyasas, and targeting the core.

Outside the studio, Cody plays flag football, cooks and bakes, and spends time celebrating the queer community.

Ivy Arnold

Ivy (she/her) is an RYT 200 certified instructor and has additional certifications in Animal Flow L1 and Acro Yoga. Ivy teaches ​​Flow, Power, and Sunrise Flow. Her classes focus on creating a deep connection between breath, body, and movement. She brings playful, powerful energy to every class, incorporating balancing poses, strength-building exercises, and breathwork to deepen the practice. ​​Ivy’s classes are challenging, yet accessible to all practitioners and are set to upbeat house music. Her classes emphasize dynamic stretches, daily mobility, active flexibility, and posture improvement.

Ivy is a Texas native who lived in California for 12 years. She loves nature and calls Costa Rica her second home. She’s a curious foodie who loves a sauna/cold plunge session. She is also a content creator on YouTube and Instagram (@MoveWithIvy).

Jen Kentrup

Jen (she/her) is a E-RYT 500 and YACEP certified instructor teaching Yoga for Strength & Stability. This unique, all-levels class guides students to ​​refine their awareness to create a whole-body connection. She teaches students to become aware of their entire bodies by focusing on proper alignment.

Outside the studio, you can find Jen in the kitchen. She is an avid baker and believes that anything chocolate needs a sprinkle of salt. Her secret weapons in the kitchen are lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, fish sauce, and sugar.

Jenifer DeAtley

Jenifer (she/her) is a RYT 200 certified instructor with additional training in Sound Healing and Advanced Asana. She teaches Flow and Slow Flow classes at MVP. Set to a thoughtfully curated playlist, her classes encourage practitioners to slow down, focus on the breath, and build strength. Classes steadily build upon one another to grow the practice and build confidence and curiosity on the mat.

Outside the studio, you can find her gardening, cooking, baking, and playing soccer. Jenifer is originally from Chicago and has that midwestern penchant for gab, so she’s always up for a chat after class!

Justin has been practicing yoga for many years but still tries to maintain a beginner’s mindset every time he steps onto the mat. His classes are focused, detailed, and thoughtfully curated from over a decade of refining his practice. Yoga has informed nearly every aspect of his life and he’s enthusiastic about sharing this sacred knowledge with his students and watching them grow.

Kim-Jamy Nyugen

Kim-Jamy (she/her) ​​is a RYT 200 certified instructor with extensive training in Forrest, Baptiste Power, Rocket, and Ashtanga. Her Flow classes are upbeat, build in intensity, and link breath-to-movement. She offers peak-pose sequences where students work up to more challenging or “advanced” asanas. Kim-Jamy enjoys introducing new asanas and scaffolding flows to build upon each other. Her classes are inspired by her own personal practice in Forrest Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, and Rocket Vinyasa. She offers hands-on assists within her classes to help students find new depths within postures.

Kim-Jamy is a Penn and Texas Alum and works in Ed-Tech. She enjoys practicing Mysore-Ashtanga, fostering pupperonis from Austin Humane Society, and hanging out with her husband and dogs.

Kristiana Vuong

Kris (she/her) is a E-RYT 200, RYT 500, and RPYT certified instructor. Her Flow classes encourage students to practice with curiosity and a connection to breath to cultivate longevity and deep self-knowing. ​​Kris enjoys fostering a safe space for students to move playfully with curiosity and intention. She emphasizes awareness of breath and observing the mind without judgment.

Kris is a birth and postpartum doula, has a passion for supporting mamas in all stages of parenthood, and has two darling babies of her own. She enjoys spending time with her partner and babies, cooking, and crafting.

Kyler Burk Austin Yoga Teacher

Kyler Burke

Kyler (he/him) is a E-RYT 200 and RYT 500 certified instructor teaching ​​Deep Stretch, Flow, Restore & Sound, Slow Flow, Stretch & Sound Healing, ViniYoga, Yin, and Yin & Sound. Klyer’s classes are gentle and intentional, creating space for personal exploration and attunement to the wisdom of the body. He enjoys playfully modifying poses and incorporating techniques to engage both body and mind in novel ways. His goal is to support each practitioner in cultivating their own unique personal practice.

Kyler enjoys dancing, playing bass, and exploring neuroscience. Fun fact: Kyler can sleep hanging upside down!

Lara Ramey

Lara Ramey

Lara (she/her) is a RYT 500 certified instructor and C-IAYT certified Yoga Therapist trained in Yin, Restorative Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Adaptive Yoga. ​​Her Slow Flow classes are always at a slower pace, with the intensity varying based on the seasons. She incorporates other aspects of Yoga including meditation, pranayama, and sound healing. ​​She guides practices that are accessible, adaptable, and welcoming to all. Lara provides a practice with instrumental beats and gentle meditative music to tone the parasympathetic nervous system.

Lara is a transplant from Massachusetts and works a dual career in HR and as a Yoga Therapist and Teacher. She enjoys spending her time with her dogs, focusing on personal growth, and in nature

Tracy Vo My Vinyasa Practice Teacher

Leslie Rangel

Leslie (she/her) is a E-RYT 200 and RYT 500 certified Yoga instructor with training in Ashtanga, Psychology, and Alignment-based Yoga. Her Flow class is a little spicy, with hints of Ashtanga. Her classes have a thoughtful start, build-up to a peak pose, focus on alignment-based movements, and finish with a restful meditation. Leslie enjoys making her classes accessible for all levels. She comes in with a roadmap and likes to ask students for requests. Her playlists are unique with the occasional instrumental of familiar hip-hop or reggaeton songs.

Leslie is a Dallas native and first-gen Mexican-American. She’s an emotional health coach, journalist, and podcast host. She loves traveling, writing, lifting weights, and spending time with her husband and two rescue pugs.

Leti Alvarez

Leti Alvarez

Leti (she/her) is a E-RYT 500 and YACEP certified instructor, C-IAYT Yoga therapist, and a registered End of Life Doula. Leti teaches Flow, Nervous System Reset, Restore & Sound, Stretch & Sound Healing, Yin, and Yin & Sound. Leti’s Flow classes are upbeat, accessible, and set to carefully curated playlists. Her Restorative classes are perfect for stress reduction and a meaningful break from a busy life. They always culminate in a luxurious sound bath. Leti caters to students of all levels, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and comfortable as soon as they step onto their mat. In Leti’s classes, expect a creative and fun sequence that uses the principles of alignment. Her classes will empower and encourage you to explore and connect with your true self and to find your own teacher within.

Outside the studio, Leti enjoys travel, photography, hikes, and theater. Ask her about her time serving in the Peace Corps in Madagascar!

Rasha Proctor

Liam Connors

Liam (he/him) is a RYT 200 certified instructor teaching Slow Flow. His Slow Flow classes are soothing with a bit of movement and some passive stretching to get students ready for the weekend. His playlists are a mix of jams and classic Yoga tunes. In his classes, students are welcomed to move mindfully while challenging themselves to find their edges as well as their flow states. Classes finish with a guided meditation for a soothing reset of the nervous system and a nice disconnect from day-to-day busyness.

Liam is originally from Upstate New York and has been in Austin for ten years. He works as a sales professional in health and wellness. Liam enjoys swimming, working out, and reading.

Mayan Watson My Vinyasa Practice Yoga Teacher

Marissa Stephani

Marissa (she/her) is a RYT 200 certified instructor teaching Flow and Sunrise Flow. Her Flow classes are centered around moving with the heart, mindfulness, self-love, and observation. In Sunrise Flow, students get to wake up and flow as the natural sunlight rises. Classes are beginner-friendly with options for every student to add on or take away to flow in a way that honors their bodies, minds, and souls. Marissa themes her classes around the energetic and spiritual bodies and the chakras. She brings a compassionate and kind energy to class and offers balancing and restorative postures.

Marissa is originally from Long Island, New York and is a first time mom to a beautiful baby girl. She enjoys ​​photography, baking, and exploring Austin with her little one!

Melena

Mary Johnson

Mary (she/her) is a CYT 200 and RYT 200 certified instructor. Mary’s Flow classes emphasize the mind-body connection as students flow breath-to-movement through an intentional sequence designed to highlight a different theme, peak pose, or muscle group every month. Her classes offer an invitation to students of all levels to come together, let the stress of the world fall away, and find joy, strength, and self-compassion through mindful movement and breathwork.

Mary is a Washington D.C. native who enjoys cooking, reading, and dancing.

Melena

MELENA KIRIAKI

Melena is a licensed Meditation & Mindfulness Teacher, RYT 200 & is currently a trainee with MVP’s 300-hr. She teaches vinyasa and slower, gentle flows—intentionally associating breath with movement, cultivating self-love, and celebrating accessible body empowerment throughout her sessions.

Melena’s yoga practice and lifestyle blossomed after she came into a deep, consistent meditation practice that benefitted her mental and emotional life in transformative ways. This generated a passion in sharing the practice of meditation to all: particularly kids & teens, through in-person, live virtual, and an upcoming new mindfulness online course curriculum. Melena is a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin, working in Big Tech where she’s a global leader for the Mindfulness@ Club at Facebook. She loves the Austin skyline, espresso, and her Maltipoo king, Oreo.

Nicole Silva

Nicole (she/her) is a RYT 200 certified Yoga instructor with additional certifications in Aerial Yoga and Sound Healing. Her Flow classes are energizing, powerful, and upbeat with a groovy, jazzy playlist to set the mood. She promotes an environment for students to feel strong and empowered as they explore their own variations of movements and remain curious about how flow feels in their bodies.

Originally from Boston, Nicole is ​​an aerialist, herbalist, and animal lover/volunteer.

Lara Ramey

Pam Hannagan

Pam (she/her) is a E-RYT 200 certified Yoga instructor with additional certifications in Trauma-Informed Hatha Flow and Prenatal Yoga. She teaches Flow and Slow Flow. Her Flow classes link breath and movement to fun, often themed playlists. Cues often include how to use props or different options to try within a pose so every student can personalize their practice. Slow Flow spends more time in each posture. Pam enjoys teaching Yoga as a way for students to slow down and connect deeply with themselves and their community. Her classes are about growing strong both mentally and physically, practicing gratitude, and having fun together!

Pam loves reading, getting tattoos, and attending local live music shows. She studied studio art in college and always has several creative projects going on at home.

Poy Remson

Poy (she/her) is a RYT 200 certified instructor teaching Flow and Slow Flow classes. Her Flow classes are fun and dynamic with a focus on building flexibility, strength, and balance with a backdrop of upbeat music. Slow Flow is a slow-paced, meditative practice that emphasizes peace and calm for the mind and body. In this class students hold poses for several rounds of breath while enjoying soothing sounds and music. Poy provides a positive energy and safe space where everyone can express themselves without judgment. Her goal is for students to have fun, challenge themselves, and leave class feeling refreshed.

Originally from Thailand, Poy is an amateur foodie who enjoys hiking.

Rasha (she/her) is a E-RYT 500 certified instructor. ​​Her Flow class focuses on connecting breath and movement in a meditative setting to build mental awareness, physical strength, and emotional support. She enjoys leading a mindful Yoga practice where students get to learn about themselves and how to hold space for the human experience.

Rasha enjoys philosophy, meditation, and studying Tibetan/Vajra Yoga. She attends a silent meditation retreat annually and works in Tech.

Sam (she/her) is a C-IAYT Yoga Therapist and instructor teaching Flow and Nervous System Reset. Her Flow class is a dynamic and energizing practice that synchronizes movement with breath. Students can expect to flow through a sequence of postures that build heat and strength while cultivating flexibility and balance in both body and mind. Nervous System Reset is a unique class designed to reset and rejuvenate the nervous system, leaving students revitalized and ready to face life’s challenges with clarity. All levels are welcome, and no prior Yoga experience is necessary. Sam specializes in stress, trauma, anxiety and depression, breathwork, meditation, and sound healing.

A Louisiana native, Sam loves swimming, cooking, and anime.

Sara (she/her) is a E-RYT 500, RCYT, and YACEP certified Yoga instructor with additional certifications in Children’s Yoga, Prenatal, and Meditation. Her Flow classes empower students to make choices about how they move their bodies by linking breath-to-movement and offering plenty of options for those who’d like to explore a variety of challenges. She prefers to teach slow-burn style classes where she walks around the room observing students and offering verbal and hands on assists with consent.

Sara is from Los Angeles and lived in Washington D.C. the last few years. She loves animals and has been vegan for about 7 years. She loves rock climbing, hiking, exploring nature, and reading.

Stephanie (RYT 500) practiced yoga for a decade before completing her 200-hr YTT certification in 2015. Since then, she has taught more than 2000 classes to all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Her music-driven sequences will challenge you to learn and grow in your practice, and her powerful themes will encourage you to take your yoga off your mat and into the world in order to increase joy, reduce suffering, and become the best possible version of yourself.

Tania (she/her) is a RYT 200 certified instructor with additional certifications in Kids Yoga and Mindfulness for kids and adults. Her Flow classes bring energy and creativity to transitions and poses. These classes include upbeat music and ample time with new poses and arm balances. Power Flow is upbeat with workshop play and creative transitions from one arm balance or inversion to another. ​​Tania enjoys bringing the unexpected into her flows and empowering students to know they are strong in their bodies, minds, and the ability to have fun.

Tania was born in Eugene Oregon and has lived in Canada, Florida, and Arizona. She is an ultra trail runner, competing in 30-100 mile races. She loves plants, gardening, and being outside.

Tracy (she/her) is a RYT 200 and E-RYT 500 certified instructor. Tracy teaches a variety of styles and incorporates elements of energizing movement, meditation, breathwork, and relaxation. The intensity level of each class varies based on the style of Yoga being offered and the playlists she curates complement the energy of the class.

Tracy is a proud Asian-American, wife, and mother of two. She holds an Accounting degree, has some medical background, and is an entrepreneur in the Beauty sector. Tracy finds joy in gardening, listening to music, and watching Asian drama shows.

Vanisha Weatherspoon, My Vinyasa Practice yoga teacher

VANISHA WEATHERSPOON

Vanisha (she/her) is a E-RYT 200 and RYT 500 certified instructor and also holds a Yoga Sculpt certification. Vanisha’s Flow classes are a slow burn, the heat gradually builds, matching a curated R&B playlist, before picking up the pace. The class challenges the body and mind, while remaining accessible to all levels. Her classes begin in silence before tuning into a 90’s – 00’s R&B playlist. Students slowly progress through a powerful flow showing them what their body is capable of, while incorporating standing and arm balancing poses, lots of strength movements, and always core work.

Vanisha is a Corporate Real Estate Attorney by day, and mother to a Toy Goldendoodle named Elle Woods. Teaching is where she gets to be herself with her students. She also loves interior design, flower arranging, and Vedic astrology.

Victoria Maia

Vic (she/her) is a RYT-200 certified Yoga instructor with training in Mat Pilates, Mindfulness Coaching, Yoga Nidra, Yin Yoga, and Trauma-Informed Yoga. She teaches uplifting Flow classes with feel-good movements, set to curated playlists to elevate students’ moods and create space for curiosity. Her classes are anatomically driven, inclusive, playful, and exploratory. Her goal is to share breath-centric practices that promote healing on both an individual and systemic level on and off the mat.

 Vic is a mother of one, a bit of a data-nerd, has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, and speaks Portuguese. She enjoys traveling, pilates, and reading.

Xenia Hennington

Xenia (she/her) is a E-RYT 500 and YACEP certified instructor with additional trainings in Gong and Kundalini. She teaches Flow and Stretch & Sound Healing. Xenia’s Flow classes are mostly vinyasa classes with elements of the Kundalini style interspersed throughout. The flow typically includes a short physical practice to prime the body for pranayama and meditation. Stretch & Sound Healing classes have a slower pace and more abbreviated physical practice. ​​Each class ends with the sound of the gong, allowing for more profound healing and deeper relaxation. Xenia loves to teach classes that allow students the freedom to find their own inner strength. She strives to bridge the benefits of Yoga and meditation with everyday life, using the breath and sound to further facilitate the body, mind, and spirit towards healing, grace, and ease.

Xenia was born in California, raised in Texas, and has been married almost 25 years. She’s a childless cat lady who enjoys her freedom, traveling, and gardening.

Her classes are suitable for all levels, offering plenty of optional modifications and inversions for students who want to deepen their practices. ​​

Zoe Mitchell

Zoe (she/her) is a E-RYT 200 and RYT 500 certified instructor teaching Flow. Her Flow classes begin by slowly waking up the body and finding the breath before moving into postures that lead to overall functional fitness. Her classes focus on strengthening deep core postural muscles while releasing areas of tension throughout the body and conclude with time to rest and recover from the physical practice. Practices will be tailored to the needs of the students rather than formulated from cookie-cutter sequences.

Zoe is a mother of three, longtime Austin resident, midwestern born and raised, holds a Master’s in Integrative and Functional Nutrition, and serves families around Austin as a postpartum doula. She loves dancing, hiking, and baking.

ANA PILAR CRUZ

Ana Pilar Cruz, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, RYT 200, has been teaching yoga in Austin, Texas since 2001 and has been training yoga teachers since 2006 at both 200 and 500 hour levels in the United States and abroad with Yoga Yoga, Global Yoga Shala, and Zingara Yoga. She has been studying with her teacher, Gary Kraftsow, the founder & head of the American Viniyoga Institute, for over 16 years. Under the guidance of Kraftsow, Ana Pilar completed the American Viniyoga Institute’s 500-hour advanced training in 2005. Her continuing education is immersed in a number of specialized areas, including Western & Yogic Anatomy, Injury Prevention, Stress-relief, Mantra chanting, and Tantric philosophy, as she studies with the likes of Leslie Kaminoff, Srivatsa Ramaswami, Donna Farhi, Rod Stryker, and Dr. Douglas Brooks. In 2017 Ana Pilar was grandfathered into the International Association of Yoga Therapist, receiving her C-IAYT designation in recognition of her specialized client work in adaptive structural therapeutics. As a senior teacher trainer she excels in teaching asana, pranayama, mantra, and yogic philosophy & literature.

Brittany Riley

Brittany (she/they) is a RYT 500 certified instructor with training in Trauma-Informed, Accessible Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Trauma-Informed for Sexual Trauma. Brittany teaches ​​Flow, Restore & Sound, TLC Flow, and Yin. TLC Flow and Slow Flow classes are slower paced breath-to-movement classes that are functionally and anatomically-informed with a focus on accessibility. Their Restorative & Sound classes offer restorative style asana by rainbow candlelight with an array of sound healing instruments. Their ​​Yin Yoga classes are seasonally-appropriate practices that challenge the mind and body to stay in poses for 3-5 minutes at a time. These classes are thoughtfully sequenced to keep the practitioner in the zone, with minimal time for prop assembly between poses. Brittany leads classes with a trauma-informed approach and encourages students to laugh and be themselves.

Brittany is from the HTX and loves Third Coast Rap. In her day job they’re a Recreation and Aquatic Therapist. They love ​​gaming, painting watercolor, swimming and have memberships to at least 3 museums.

Jen has been practicing yoga for over a decade and earned her 200 hour RYT certification in 2018 from My Vinyasa Practice. She has practiced at studios all over Austin and loves a good vinyasa or yin class. She started practicing yoga to build strength and learn how to better channel her inner peace. Using yoga to decompress and recenter her focus, Jen hopes to bring a peaceful and revitalizing experience to those who take her classes. She has been teaching vinyasa yoga online since the studio’s opening in 2020 and currently resides in sunny Orlando, FL where she enjoys teaching on Saturday mornings.

Kiana (she/her) is a E-RYT 500 and YACEP certified instructor. She specializes in Flow, Playful Power, Restorative, Yin, and Sound Healing classes infusing them with creativity, intentionality, and a deep commitment to holistic well-being. In her Flow classes, Kiana guides students through sequences designed to evoke introspection and inner exploration, blending movement with breath awareness. Her Power Flow classes offer a playful yet challenging environment where students can explore advanced asanas and transitions, pushing the boundaries of their practice while maintaining mindfulness and joy. Kiana’s Restorative offerings focus on slowing down and surrendering to stillness, inviting students to deeply relax and replenish their energy reserves. In her Yin classes, she encourages practitioners to explore their edge, release tension, and cultivate spaciousness within the body and mind. In her Sound Healing offerings, Kiana invites students on a soothing journey of vibrations and sound that facilitate deep relaxation and tension release.

Maire’s yoga journey began years ago, looking to connect with and discover her true self. Once she sat on a cushion and stood on a mat she knew this was where she was meant to be. Her asana practice changed over the years from high energy to mindful awareness. As her personal exploration of the sutras deepened, so did her desire to teach. 

Sharing her knowledge and love for yoga led her to complete several teacher trainings, Maire is an E-RYT 500 and an author of a 200hr YTT. Her students and fellow teachers enjoy the creativity and accessible sequencing she brings to every class.

Marissa (she/her) is a RYT 200 certified instructor teaching Flow and Sunrise Flow. Her Flow classes are centered around moving with the heart, mindfulness, self-love, and observation. In Sunrise Flow, students get to wake up and flow as the natural sunlight rises. Classes are beginner-friendly with options for every student to add on or take away to flow in a way that honors their bodies, minds, and souls. Marissa themes her classes around the energetic and spiritual bodies and the chakras. She brings a compassionate and kind energy to class and offers balancing and restorative postures.

Marissa is originally from Long Island, New York and is a first time mom to a beautiful baby girl. She enjoys ​​photography, baking, and exploring Austin with her little one!

Sue completed her 300-hour YTT with My Vinyasa Practice and is honored to assist others in their yogic pursuits.

Sue’s specialty is Yin yoga. She started at a local studio in Lake Charles, LA, for the past 2 years, but is also passionate about Beginner Ashtanga and gentle Vinyasa.

She is a true believer in the power of the breath. Sue’s passion is to include all bodies and ages in the ancient practice of Yoga. Since she came to Yoga a little later in her life, She considers it her midlife reset and longs to share this experience with others who would otherwise shy away from the practice. Tina Hilbert brings over 25 years of extensive experience in the holistic field of alternative medicine. She is committed to meeting individuals on their unique whole health and wellness journeys by utilizing functional and practical hatha and kriya yoga methods and meditation practices. Her additional recreations include crafting simple vegetarian meals, studying, meditating, and journaling. She cherishes quality social time and connection with her daughter, extended family, and friends.

Tina is an active Livestream and In-Studio Kundalini and Hatha Yoga Teacher, C-IAYT Yoga Therapist, Mindfulness Coach, iRest Meditation Teacher, and Reiki Practitioner. Her professional affiliations include a longstanding association with Yoga Alliance since 2003. She holds designations as a Yoga Alliance Experienced-Registered Yoga Teacher 500 (E-RYT 500), Lead Trainer, and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP).
